The Reina-Valera is one of the most widely used Spanish translations of the Bible, first published in 1569 by Casiodoro de Reina, a Spanish Protestant scholar. It was later revised in 1602 by Cipriano de Valera, leading to the version known as Reina-Valera. Over the centuries, it has undergone several updates to modernize the language while preserving its traditional style and faithfulness to the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts. The RVR is the Spanish-language equivalent of the King James Version in terms of historical and cultural influence.
